Jay and “Letters” have received a litany of web exposure within the Indie music realm, furthering his grassroots marketing for the music. The folks at Indie Beat named him their first ever “Alternative Rising Acts” in an article featuring an extensive interview with Jay. He’s also been featured on sites and radio stations that include: Music Supervision Central, BBC’s Fresh On The Net, The modern folk music of america, Free Bike Valet, WWVU-FM, WOO91, WXRY Unsigned, EGH Radio, Croydon Radio, Indie Happy Hour, Gegsy, and many more.
Jay Woodward releases his second music video from his debut album, Letters We Told, following the recent listener driven explosion for the single, Howl. The video for Howl, shot in Big Bear, CA by Leslie Chou, showcases the purist side of Woodward’s woodland inspired song.
Jay is an innovator in the indie folk scene, combining modern production techniques with a classic approach to song development and engineering, reminiscent of the 1960’s and 70’s.
His debut album, quietly titled “Letters We Told”, is a concept album that takes a look at the human experience through the eyes of one of America’s sons.
